Save, reload and copy
Save behavior with your place, reload it for editing and copy mechanisms deliberately.
Save and reopen
Choose Apply, then save your place. Reopen it and use Load selection to edit the saved behavior. An unfinished draft can also be restored if the saved behavior has not changed. Choose Cancel to discard that draft.
Rename and move
Renaming or moving an assembly keeps its saved links. Its hinge, destination and interaction point move with it. Preview again after changing the geometry.
Duplicate deliberately
Copy a mechanism together with its direct prompt. A copied standalone button still controls its original mechanism. Disconnect and reconnect it if you want it to control the copy.
Conflicting edits
If the saved behavior changes while you are editing, use Load selection to reload it and review your changes again. Custom script edits are protected during updates. See Runtime updates for details.
Avoid using multiple scripts to move the same object.
